Animal Feeding Experience

This is the only place in Europe where you can hand feed White Lions!! This amazing animal experience is perfect if you are looking for something that little bit special and exclusive!

White Lions originate from the from the Timbavati region of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. This particular zoo is one of only two zoos in the UK that cares for these amazing big cats. You will get the opportunity to be incredibly close, literally the wires width away from the White Lions (as close as you would ever want to be!)

Your Feed the White Lions experience will begin with complimentary refreshments in the Discovery Centre where you will be met by one of the big cat team who will escort you to the Animal Park. You will receive a full health and safety briefing when you arrive at the White Lion enclosure.

The big cat team will be on hand to guide you through your experience; filling you in on the history and personality of the White Lion you feed as well as the other big cats they care for including Snow Leopards, Tigers, Jaguars, Cheetahs and Lions.

The package includes welcome drinks, souvenir T-shirt and a presentation certificate as proof of your incredible feat!

You are welcome to arrive early and stay late to enjoy the other attractions. The zoo has a fantastic selection of animals, daily shows, children's rides, adventure playgrounds, catering outlets and many other attractions.

All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.

Duration

The Feed the White Lions animal feeding experience will last approximately 45 minutes in total, but you are free to spend the rest of the day at this amazing zoo.

Availability

This zoo experience is available daily throughout the year with the exception of Christmas Day. Experience starts at 1.30pm or 3pm. Please see the different prices for weekdays and weekends.

Restrictions

Minimum age 16 years old.

Spectators

Guests are welcome to join you and will pay normal admission prices. You are welcome to arrive early and stay late to enjoy the other attractions.

Disabled Access/Facilities

There is wheelchair access into the White Lion feeding areas.

The zoo itself is well equipped for people using wheelchairs. There are disabled parking bays near to the entrance. Most of the site is on level ground with tarmac pathways in most areas. There are right and left hand transfer toilets in the main car park and wheelchair accessible toilets on the main restaurant and on the Animal Park. The zoo also has wheelchairs for hire. There is also a special needs playground with a wheelchair swing, swings with harnesses and rockers. The whole area has a soft crumb play surface.

Most of our animal experiences are suitable for wheelchairs but please let us know in advance if you are a wheelchair user.
