Motorbike Experience - no licence required

This is the ultimate in learning precise bike control! If you have ever watched 'Kick Start' or seen YouTube videos of people doing crazy stunts on odd looking motorcycles then you may just have an idea of what this is all about. Please do not confuse this with standard off-road motorcycle schools, this one is completely different!

Have you have ever wondered how people get their bikes up over tree stumps or how they drop off ledges? What about riding up steps or balancing on the spot? How on earth do they turn their bikes in such a tight space or ride along a 10" wide beam? This exciting Motorcycle Trials & Tricks School will show you all the techniques required and more! Once you have learnt the basics you will be amazed at just what you can achieve by the end of the day.

You will need to arrive at the venue at 09:15 for a 10:00 start. On arrival you will be signed in and kitted up in all of the necessary riding equipment including body armour, boots, helmet etc. There is no need to bring any clothing with you unless it is forecast for heavy rain in which case you may wish to bring along some waterproofs to go over the clothing supplied.

Once everyone is kitted up you will be introduced to the trials motorcycle that you will be using for the day and go through some general safety and motorcycle operation points. You will start off gently with some simple riding to help familiarise you with the motorcycle before heading off to more demanding terrain sections which will include hopping over tractor tyres, climbing stairs and popping the front wheel up over logs.

Each participant is allocated their own trials bike for the duration of the day. The day will finish with an award ceremony. The tutors usually stick around for a while should anyone fancy a chat or further advice.

All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.

Locations

This Off Road Motorcycle Trials & Tricks School takes place in Markyate, Hertfordshire. Markyate is near Dunstable.

Availability

This motorcycle experience is run all year round unless there is a large amount of snow.

Restrictions

Minimum age of 16. Maximum weight of 18 stone and a minimum height of 5ft 0in. You will not be allowed to participate if you are, or suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, recreational drugs or any other illegal substance. Any physical or mental illnesses should be declared before booking. We would not recommend this experience if you are pregnant. No motorcycle licence is necessary but participants should really have a basic knowledge of operating a geared motorcycle. No neck or back complaints.

Dress Code

You will be supplied with all clothing/protection needed for this activity. We do recommend that customers bring an extra set of underclothes and socks to change into as they invariably end up wet and muddy during the day.

Other Details

No motorcycle licence is necessary. This is the perfect experience for those exhibitionist bikers out there who love to show off!

I have just got back from my motorbike experience today and I just wanted to thank you for all your help and for the information you gave me regarding this. I wasn't sure what to exchange my open gift vouchers for but I am over the moon that I went for this!

The staff were all brilliant and provided us with many laughs and great moments throughout the day! Their riding skills were out of this world and I couldn't believe the things they could do! They were all really patient with some of the less competent riders, but at the same time keeping the more capable riders occupied too.

We were taught loads of techniques to use to jump over logs, tyres and various other things. We were given the opportunity to learn some mad stunts and the instructors were really encouraging! In fact, they really made the day with their funny comments and encouragement! Thanks again, it was that good I may even give it another go soon! Tom - Essex
