Zoo Experience Day

The Shadow a Zoo Keeper day is the ultimate zoo experience that animal lovers will never forget.

This is the animal gift experience for you if you want to have an "all round" behind the scenes view at one of Britain's leading wildlife parks. Your day starts at 9am sharp where you will enjoy complimentary refreshments in the Discovery Centre before being introduced to your co-keeper. They will then escort you to the animal park and explain some of the exciting activities you will be undertaking during your day and give you health and safety information.

You will learn about all aspects of animal care including cleaning, feeding and food preparation as well as walking the animals and taking part in the daily activities and events. This is very much a hands on experience and will give you an insight into the amazing amount of work that goes on behind the scenes at one of Britain's top wildlife parks.

You will spend time with various birds, reptiles, insects and mammals during your day as you discover the exciting but hard work the keepers undertake on a daily basis. It is truly a fantastic job and the staff are very enthusiastic and passionate about the animals in their care. Please note, there is no active involvement int he carnivore section - Cats and Wolves.

The experience lasts all day.

You will receive a souvenir T-shirt and a presentation certificate as a memento of a day you will always remember! 

This fun and interesting day includes lunch and refreshments.

All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.
