Parachute Jump

Static Line Parachute Jump - The jump is called a static line jump because from the moment you step into the aircraft you will be securely attached to a 'static line' which is designed to automatically open your parachute for you as you exit the aircraft.

All instructors we use are qualified by the national governing body of the sport and each one is specially trained to teach beginner parachutists just like you! Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 3,000 feet — the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Then imagine the peace and quiet of the parachute ride, gliding gracefully through the air — 'totally weightless, suspended in the sky'. Finally imagine the exhilaration you will feel when you touch down in the centre of the dropzone having completed your first solo parachute jump from over 3,000 feet!

All of our gift experiences are presented in an attractive red case with "Congratulations - you are the lucky recipient of a Well Wicked experience day" written on the front. You will also get a DVD featuring many of our experiences. Experience vouchers can be personalised if required.

The Static Line Parachute Jump is in two parts — your training takes place on the Saturday for your jump on the Sunday. During the training you will learn everything you need to know to make a safe and exhilarating jump — the equipment used, how to exit the aircraft, how to operate your reserve parachute and most importantly how to control your landing. On the following day (Sunday morning) you will receive a refresher training course going over all the points from the day before and then it's time to board the aircraft!

Northern Ireland, East Yorkshire, Lancashire, Perthshire, Shropshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Swindon and Salisbury in Wiltshire and Cornwall. Many other locations are available.

Available all year round.

For static line jumps you must be between 16 (under 18's need parents/guardians consent) and 55 and under 15 stone. Over 40’s will require a British Parachute Association form signed by a doctor. Some venues use a weight/height ratio restriction. Medical restrictions apply - please inform us at time of booking.

Dress Code

Long trousers and light flat-soled shoes are best. Any helmets, gloves or flying suits will be provided to participate in the experience. Where a helmet and gloves are required for an experience it is mandatory and no exceptions will be made.

Spectator facilities are normally available, however, we suggest checking with the operator prior to your experience day.

Other Details

All flying experiences are subject to weather conditions. It is the pilot and the operator’s final decision if the experience should take place due to inclement weather conditions. Should your experience be cancelled due to weather or a technical issue with the aircraft your experience will be re-booked on an alternative date.
